Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 1, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website at akdoors.com, contacting AK Doors LLC, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services. AK Doors LLC reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Services

AK Doors LLC provides garage door installation, repair, maintenance, and related services throughout the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. Services are subject to availability and may vary by location. AK Doors LLC reserves the right to decline service at its discretion.

3. Estimates & Pricing

All estimates provided by AK Doors LLC are based on information available at the time of assessment and are not a guarantee of final cost. Final pricing may vary due to:

  • Unforeseen conditions discovered during service
  • Additional parts or materials required
  • Changes in scope of work requested by the customer
  • Emergency or after-hours service requests

Prices are subject to change without notice. All pricing will be communicated to the customer prior to commencement of work.

4. Appointments & Cancellations

  • Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled appointment time.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • No-shows or same-day cancellations may result in a $50.00 service fee.
  • AK Doors LLC reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, technician availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • AK Doors LLC accepts cash, check, and major credit/debit cards.
  • A convenience fee may be applied to credit card transactions.
  • Financing options are available through a third-party financing partner. Financing terms, rates, and approval are subject to the financing partner’s policies and are not guaranteed by AK Doors LLC.
  • Returned checks may be subject to a returned check fee.
  • Accounts not paid in full may be referred to a collections agency, and the customer may be responsible for any associated collection costs.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

6a. Labor Warranty

AK Doors LLC warrants all installation workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of installation. This warranty covers defects in workmanship only and does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, acts of nature, or pre-existing conditions.

6b. Parts Warranty

Parts and components are covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty. AK Doors LLC will assist customers in facilitating manufacturer warranty claims where applicable but does not independently warrant parts beyond the manufacturer’s terms.

6c. Warranty Exclusions

Warranties are void and AK Doors LLC will not be responsible for installation defects or failures resulting from:

  • Doors or openers mounted on inadequate jamb material, including but not limited to 1×6, 1×4, OSB, drywall, or ¾” thick material
  • Out-of-level concrete slabs or uneven surfaces
  • Improper or incomplete site preparation by the customer (see Section 8)
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs by third parties
  • Normal wear and tear

7. Limitation of Liability

AK Doors LLC’s liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the service in question. AK Doors LLC is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing conditions that were not identified or disclosed prior to service
  • Incidental, consequential, or indirect damages of any kind
  • Damage resulting from customer failure to meet site preparation requirements
  • Damage to property or equipment not directly caused by AK Doors LLC technicians

8. Customer Responsibilities & Site Preparation

To ensure a successful installation and avoid additional charges, customers are responsible for ensuring that all site preparation requirements are met prior to the technician’s arrival. These requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Proper 2×6 wood jambs installed (1×6, 1×4, OSB, and 2×4 materials are not acceptable)
  • Finished trim wrap installed
  • 2×12 center spring mount installed
  • Low voltage (18/2 solid thermostat) wire run to required locations
  • 110V electrical power completed and active at the opener location
  • Garage space cleaned and cleared to allow technician access
  • Concrete slab must be level; AK Doors LLC cannot guarantee a weather-tight seal on out-of-level slabs
  • An adult (18 years of age or older) must be present for the duration of the service appointment
  • Pets must be secured away from the work area
  • Accurate information must be provided regarding site conditions, including metal framing or non-standard configurations

Additional charges will apply if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation. In some cases, AK Doors LLC may be unable to proceed with installation and the warranty may be voided if site requirements are not met.

9. SMS Terms & Conditions

  • Messages may include appointment confirmations, technician arrival notifications, service updates, estimates, and customer support communications.
  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
  • Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on akdoors.com, including text, images, logos, graphics, and other materials, is the property of AK Doors LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Reproduction, distribution, or use of any content without the express written consent of AK Doors LLC is prohibited.

11. Privacy Policy

The collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and available at akdoors.com. By using our services, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

AK Doors LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website at akdoors.com with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
